Muitas vezes, coisas que parecem simples \u2014 como uma receita tradicional, uma can\u00e7\u00e3o coletiva ou uma celebra\u00e7\u00e3o local \u2014 t\u00eam um profundo significado cultural. <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">O Patrim\u00f3nio Cultural Imaterial (PCI) inclui \u00abas pr\u00e1ticas, representa\u00e7\u00f5es, express\u00f5es, conhecimentos, compet\u00eancias \u2014 bem como os instrumentos, objetos, artefactos e espa\u00e7os culturais a eles associados \u2014 que as comunidades, grupos e, em alguns casos, indiv\u00edduos reconhecem como parte do seu patrim\u00f3nio cultural\u00bb (UNESCO, 2003). Este reconhecimento vem da pr\u00f3pria comunidade e est\u00e1 enraizado na vida quotidiana e num sentido comum de identidade (Flor\u00eancio et al., 2016, p. 16). <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Proteger o PCI \u00e9 mais do que apenas document\u00e1-lo. Significa mant\u00ea-lo vivo, transmiti-lo atrav\u00e9s das gera\u00e7\u00f5es e permitir que cres\u00e7a e mude \u2014 especialmente quando enfrenta desafios como a migra\u00e7\u00e3o, a globaliza\u00e7\u00e3o ou a perda de conhecimentos tradicionais (Flor\u00eancio et al., 2014). Apoiar estas pr\u00e1ticas culturais ajuda a preservar a diversidade, incentiva o di\u00e1logo entre culturas e fortalece os la\u00e7os comunit\u00e1rios (Conselho da Europa, 2005).  <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Como disse Freire (2005, p. 80), \u201cningu\u00e9m ensina ningu\u00e9m, nem ningu\u00e9m ensina a si mesmo, as pessoas ensinam umas \u00e0s outras, mediadas pelo mundo\u201d.
